The West Sussex Economic Forum is inviting business leaders to a half- day conference at Wiston House, near Steyning, on Friday, November 16.
The event has been arranged to give businesses a chance to influence local author-
ity decisions and help set the framework for economic development for the next ten years.
A senior manager from Project Rolls Royce, which is building a manufacturing plant at Goodwood, will give a keynote speech, about into the engineering firm's decision to move to West Sussex.
The conference is part of the forum's aim to create a positive environment for businesses in the county.
Discussion topics include the need for affordable housing in the region, sites and premises for businesses to grow, the effect of congestion on the county's main roads on businesses and improvements to the rail network.
The key issue will be the significant shortfall of professionals with the right skills to fill vacancies.
Pam Foden, executive officer for the forum, said: "We are seeking a wide representation of business sectors and sizes from all over the county. As we are limited by numbers, we would urge businesses to contact us as soon as possible if they would like to attend this event."
The forum can be contacted on 01903 839370.
