Haywards Heath were left speechless after relinquishing their treasured unbeaten home record.
Heath crashed 32-6 to Sutton and Epsom, their first Whitemans Green defeat for almost three years but their fourth successive setback in the current London One campaign.
Owen Ashton kicked two early penalties.
Skipper Dave Wattam, standing in for the absent Henry Goodburn, admitted: "I can't remember us ever being that poor from one to 15.
"I've never known a changing room like that. No-one could even speak after the game."
Heath had Chris Sherwood and Glenn Rankin sin-binned. Wattam added: "The referee was a bit whistle happy and some of the guys let it get on top of them.
"We will get that in this league because refs know they are being assessed."
Heath enjoyed a night out together after the game in a bid to lift morale but Wattam admitted: "We are not used to losing and I take it personally as captain for the day."
Leaders Havant will provide another tough away test a week on Saturday before the home campaign resumes against Cheshunt on November 17.
