This is the motorbike murder squad detectives believe was used in the shooting of a father of three.

Tests have been carried out on the black Suzuki 500cc bike which police say was stolen from Sheffield in May.

It was found dumped in a layby on the A21 in Robertsbridge the day after Jimmy Millen, 27, was shot dead last Wednesday.

Mr Millen, of Taylor Close, Hastings, was gunned down by a motorcycle pillion passenger as he worked on his red Ford Fiesta XR2 in Tile Barn Road, Hastings.

He was shot four times in the back and the murdered man's father, Fred Millen, 49, later branded his son's killers "complete cowards".

Detectives working on operation Darnel revealed a witness had come forward saying he had seen the two riders shortly before the killing.

Detective Chief Inspector John Levett, leading the investigation said: "We are desperate to know more about this bike.

"We are still working very closely with the family and we have had a tremendous response from the public."

Officers are also trying to trace a Vauxhall Omega used by a man who a week before the murder was asking people in the Tilekiln area whether they had seen Mr Millen.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Operation Darnel incident room on 0845 6070999.

Police investigating the shooting of Jimmy Millen will quiz people in the area tomorrow, exactly a week after his murder.

Officers will question people between 11am and 3pm close to the spot in Tile Barn, Hastings, where Mr Millen was shot four times.
