A silence will descend on Sussex on Sunday as thousands mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Men and women who died for their country will be honoured with wreath laying ceremonies and a two-minute silence at 11am.
For those who wish to pay their respects on Armistice Day this weekend, here is a list of services being held in Sussex.
Saturday, November 10 Worthing: A service to acknowledge the restoration of 82 war graves will start at Broadwater and Worthing cemetery in South Farm Road at 10.45am.
Sunday, November 11 Arundel: A wreath-laying service will start at 10.50am in the town centre. A two-minute silence will be observed at the leisure centre.
Alfriston: A parade will leave the village square at 10.30am and march to St Andrew's Church for a service and two-minute silence.
Ardingly: A service will start at St Peter's Church at 10am.
Ashington: A parade will leave the community centre at 10.30am for St Peter's and St Paul's Church for wreath laying and a service at 10.50am.
Balcombe: A service will be held at St Mary's Church on London Road at 10.50am.
Battle: There will be a march from Budgens car park at 10.25am to St Mary's Church for a service at 10.50am.
Bognor: A march will leave the Royal British Legion's headquarters in Clifton Road at 10.30am. It will proceed to the cenotaph in Gloucester Road for a two-minute silence and service at 11am.
Bexhill: A service will start at Bexhill Monument on the seafront at 10.50am, followed by a service at St Augustine's Church in Cooden Drive.
Billinghurst: A parade will go from Frenches Mead at 10.30am to St Mary's Church on East Street for a service at the cenotaph at 11am. A second hymn service will start at the church at 6.30pm.
Burgess Hill: A parade will go from the Royal British Legion club in Cyprus Road at 10.35am to the war memorial in Church Walk for a wreath-laying service at 11am. A service will be held at St John's Church in Lower Church Road at 11.15am.
Burwash: A parade will go from Bear car park at 10.45am to the war memorial for wreath laying at 11am. A service at St Bartholemew's Church will start at 11.10am.
Brighton: A two-minute silence and wreath-laying ceremony starts at 10.50am at the war memorial in the Old Steine.
Buxted: A parade leaves Buxted Park at 10.20am for a service at St Margaret's Church at 10.45am.
Chichester: A march will go from the cattle market at 10.30am to the war memorial where there will be an open-air service at 11am.
Crowborough: Services will be held at St Michael's Church at 10.45am and at St John's Church at 10.45am. A service will start at All Saints Church on Chapel Green at 3pm.
Crawley Down: A service will start at St Swithen's Church at 10.30am, followed by a march to the war memorial in Sandy Lane. A service will start at St Leonard's Church in Turners Hill at 3pm.
Crawley: A parade will go from TS Cossack at 9.30am to a service at St John's Church at 10.50am. Wreath-laying follows in the churchyard.
Cuckfield: A service and laying of wreaths will start at the Holy Trinity Church in Church Street at 10.45am.
Ditchling: A parade will go from the Scout hut in East End Lane at 10.35am to the war memorial in West Street. Wreath laying at 11am will be followed by a service at St Margaret's Church in West Street.
East Preston: A procession will go from the Royal British Legion HQ at 10.30am to St Mary's Church for an 11am service. Wreath-laying starts at the memorial at 12pm.
Eastbourne: A parade will go from the Arndale Centre to the war memorial in Memorial Square at 10.40am for an 11am service. A service at Butts Brow, near Willingson Golf Course, will be held at 3pm in aid of American servicemen who died nearby during the Second World War. A remembrance concert will be held at the Conquest Theatre at 7.30pm.
East Grinstead: A service at East Court war memorial will start at 10am. A parade will leave King Street at 10.30am for a service at the memorial in High Street.
Hastings: A march from the town hall to the war memorial in Alexandra Park will start at 10.15am for a service at 10.50am.
Hailsham: A service will be held at St Mary's Church at 10am followed by a service at the war memorial in Vicarage Fields at 10.30am.
Hassocks: A march will go from the Royal British Legion headquarters in Woodsland Road at 2pm, to St Edward's Church in Ockley Lane for a 2.30pm service.
Haywards Heath: A service at the war memorial in Muster Green will start at 10.45am. A procession will then march to the town hall.
Heathfield: A service in All Saints Church will start at 10.45am, followed by wreath laying at the memorial in Cade Street.
Horam: A parade will leave Cherry Tree car park at 10.45am for a service at Horam Church at 11am.
Horsham: A parade will go from the arts centre at 10.30am to the war memorial for a wreath-laying service.
Hove: A service at Hove cemetery in Old Shoreham Road will start at 11am. A march from the town hall in New Church Road to the war memorial in Grand Avenue will start at 2.20pm, followed by a service at All Saints Church in The Drive at 3pm. The Association of Jewish Ex-servicemen and Women will hold a service at the New Synagogue in Palmeira Avenue at 4pm.
Hurst Green: A remembrance service will start at the Holy Trinity Church at 3pm. A planting of crosses will follow in the church grounds.
Hurstpierpoint: A march will go from South Avenue to the war memorial at 10.45am. Wreath laying and two-minute silence will be followed by a service at the Holy Trinity Church at 11.10am.
Lancing: A wreath-laying service will start at St Mary's Church in Church Lane, Sompting, at 11am. A parade will leave Culver Road, Lancing, at 2.30pm and arrive at St Michael's Church in South Street for a service at 3pm.
Littlehampton: A parade will meet in High Street at 10.30am and go to the war memorial in Beach Road for a wreath-laying service. A service at St Mary's Church in St Mary's Close starts at 11.15am. Maroons will be fired from the beach to mark a two-minute silence at 11am. The silence will be observed at the swimming and sports centre.
Lewes: A two-minute silence will be held at the war memorial in High Street and observed at all council-run leisure centres and tourist information centres. A parade will leave Westgate car park at 2.30pm with a service at St John's Church in Lancaster Street at 3pm.
Lindfield: A parade will leave the United Reformed Church in High Street for All Saints Church at 2.40pm. Service at 3.10pm.
Newhaven: A service will start at St Michael's Church at 10.15am, followed by a wreath-laying service at the war memorial and Canadian war memorial.
Patcham: Morning prayer will start at All Saints Church in Church Hill at 10.55am followed by a ceremony at 12pm.
Peacehaven: A parade will leave the Meridian car park for the Ascension Church in Bamber Avenue at 10.40am. Wreath laying and a service starts at 11.05am.
Portslade: A march will leave the town hall in Victoria Road at 10.20am for the war memorial in Easthill Park for a ceremony at 11am.
Rustington: A march will leave Churchill Parade at 10.40am for the parish church in Sea Lane. After the service the march will continue to the war memorial for wreath laying at 12pm.
Seaford: A service at the war memorial in Sutton Road will start at 10.30am. Wreath laying at 11am to be followed by a service at St Leonard's Church in Church Street.
Sedlescombe: A wreath laying service will be held at St John's Church in Church Hill at 10.45am.
Southwick: A memorial service will start at Southwick Green at 10.45am.
Storrington: Services and wreath laying will be held at St Mary's Church at 10.30am and 3pm.
Uckfield: A service will start at the Holy Cross Church in Church Street at 10.50am. A parade will leave Uckfield car park for a wreath-laying service at the church at 2.30pm.
Worthing: A service will start at the war memorial in Chapel Road at 11am and at St George's Church in St George's Road at 6.30pm.
Tuesday, November 13 Seaford: A service to honour Canadian and West Indian veterans will be held at Seaford cemetery at 10.30am. This will be followed by a reception at Legion House in Claremont Road.
