The Martha Gunn goalkeeper Theo Christian enjoyed a pint with his chief tormentor, Warren Ford of The Roundhill.
Park Life brought the rivals together for a beer after Warren scored 13 goals past Theo in two games.
Both games ended in a 12-0 defeat for Martha Gunn and the two Sussex Sunday Division Two teams will meet again next week.
Warren has already hit 20 goals for Roundhill this season, including eight past Theo on the first occasion they came face to face in the first round of the Sussex Sunday Bowl.
Then he put another five past Martha Gunn's beleaguered No.1 in their league clash.
Now Roundhill's ace marksman is hoping for more against his new best friend.
"We got on alright," said Warren. "He's a really nice guy actually. The banter was good fun, obviously I didn't know him as a person but we got on really well.
"Maybe Park Life has started a glorious new friendship. Theo is a friendly bloke and this is what parks football should all be about.
"I said to him after the first game that he didn't deserve to be beaten that many times. He's a better keeper than the team deserve to be honest.
"I've put 13 past him and I thought he would be sick of the sight of me. They are a new side that have been put into too high a league. They are looking at this season as a practice season so they are going out there and enjoying it. Their results are getting better too."
Unsurprisingly, Warren is looking forward to the next time he sees Theo, largely because he hopes he will be bearing down on the Martha keeper's goal again.
"He told me to do the best I can," added Warren. "I told him I'm not going to miss any chances on purpose. They weren't all good goals that I scored past him. There were a few tap- ins but there wasn't anything he could do about them.
"We beat them 12-0 twice but it would have been a lot more if it wasn't for him."
Warren, 26, is a keen Arsenal fan who has adopted Thierry Henry as his role model.
"He pushed one of mine against the bar in the second game," said Warren. "I was gutted because it was for my hat-trick. I hit it and I thought that's in.
"I lobbed him a couple of times but I am not expecting to get many in the next game as I think they will mark me more tightly. I'll probably have a couple of men on me.
"The most I've ever scored in a season is 28 and I'm hoping to beat that against Theo. I have 20 at the moment. I've got a game tomorrow and then we play Martha Gunn."
Theo, 38, is hoping for a quieter game next time he faces Warren.
"I will try and keep it under double figures," he said.
"In the second game I got man-of-the-match and the guys said it would have been 20-0 if it wasn't for me."
Astonishingly, Theo had only ever been a five-aside keeper prior to this season but he is enjoying the bigger stage. Results have picked up recently for Martha Gunn and they recorded their first point of the season last weekend after a 3-3 draw at home with Newick Bull Inn.
He said: "It's been good fun, they certainly keep me busy. If we can get two teams on and put six or seven players on Warren then we could have a chance."
And finally, the most important question, who bought the beers? "We bought our own. I got there and Theo already had one so I just bought my own," said Warren.
Never mind, Park Life has sorted both the players out with a few bottles of London Pride.
