Sussex under-19 boys have reached the semi-finals of the National Inter-County Championship.
A hat-trick of 3-2 wins against Kent, Middlesex and Surrey secured the top position at Greenwich University.
Strength in depth was the foundation of the team's success. Jordan Sopp, Adam Bunn and Brandon Hanley won all their matches at third, fourth and fifth string.
The under-15s emulated their elders with a semi-final place at Wimbledon Lakeside, beating Surrey and Kent 4-1 but losing out to Devon 4-1.
Max Obermuller at fifth string was unbeaten in his three matches, at No.1 and No.2 Tom Pashley and Oliver Pett were successful in two while Adam Newnham and Adam Martin, at third and fourth string, won one each.
