Eastbourne Borough are hoping to be the standard bearers for Sussex with an extended run in the FA Trophy.
This following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Chatham Town in their midweek replay in Kent.
Coach Nick Greenwood said: "There are only ourselves and Bognor left in the competition from the county and it would be nice to fly the flag for Sussex and have a good run like Lewes have done in the FA Cup."
The Priory Lane club's chances of continuing their Trophy adventure have been helped with a couple of bits of luck.
On Tuesday night they disposed of Chatham with an 86th-minute goal which flew in off Matt Allen's backside following a clearance by the home keeper Kevin Fewell, while the draw has also been kind with a home tie against Bedford in the next round.
Greenwood admitted: "Bedford are not setting the world alight. They are three or four sides off the bottom of the Ryman Premier League, and as we only lost 1-0 to leaders Gravesend, there should not be a great deal of difference in the standard.
"We shall have them watched and try and do a professional job in preparation for the tie. It is nice to have a home tie but we certainly won't be counting our chickens."
Despite there being plenty to keep head coach Greenwood and boss Garry Wilson occupied on the home front, activities down the road at Dr Martens Eastern Division rivals St Leonards have caused a few raised eyebrows.
Greenwood said: "There have been rumours going around for a few weeks. Some of our lads are from Hastings and they hear what is happening on the local scene.
"I am sure this will affect us. Terry White has been given a brief to get local players and I am sure he will look at players at near-by clubs who are not getting a regular place. That's what I would expect him to do but he has the problem of taking only one player per 28 days so he does not have a lot of time."
Strikers Matt Allen and Dave Adams were Borough's only injury doubts for today's visit of Wisbech but both were expected to recover from 'niggles'.
