While I waited for the backlash from Albion fans to "Sod all" (Letters, November 5), I picked up the following on TV Ceefax pages and thought readers might be interested.
A survey taken by financial advisers Deloitte and Touche found that 16 Nationwide soccer clubs spend more than 100 per cent of income on wage bills.
The worst six "housekeepers" are as follows: Brighton and Hove Albion at 127 per cent; QPR at 133 per cent; Fulham at 144 per cent; York City at 144 per cent; Brentford at 146 per cent and Blackburn Rovers at 172 per cent.
With expenditure far in excess of income, of course these clubs are losing money, as Albion chairman Mr Knight told The Argus recently.
