Chichester are top of Sussex One after blitzing previous leaders Horsham in the first 20 minutes at Coolhurst.
Chi powered into a 20-0 lead and eventually won 33-10. Skipper Ben Polhill scored two tries and Mark Cleghorn one. Nick Stanton kicked three conversions and four penalties.
Polhill said: "It's great to be top. Now we just need to stay there until May."
Horsham never recovered from having Micky Clay and Rob Dowling sin-binned although they cut the arrears to 20-10 when Tim Wills was driven over from a lineout and Richard Billings landed the conversion and a penalty.
Crowborough produced a sparkling display to beat UC Chichester 58-0 with new boy Mark Addis scoring a second half hat-trick.
Steve McCabe's trademark drive off the back of a scrum set them on their way. He later added a second, with John Hyde, Jim Ball, Damian Hayes and Tim Jackson also crossing.
Sussex Police were kicked to a last-gasp defeat by a police sergeant from Hastings. Neil Redman slotted the late conversion of Dave Milham's try to give Hastings and Bexhill a 19-17 win.
Police scored after 29 seconds through Matt Sole and later led 17-5 with tries from Alex Aspinall and Finbar O'Connell.
Warwick Benson and Steve McManus crossed for Hastings, whose skipper Paul Sandeman is also a policeman.
Burgess Hill beat Robertsbridge 51-28 in Sussex Two East with tries from Dave Webb (2), Dave Bridgman, Paul Melling, John Cook, Brett Mendham and Adam Rezazadeh.
Pulborough kept up the pace in Sussex Two West with a 60-0 win at Arun, including two tries from Matt Correl.
