The ABC cinema has been a well-loved feature of Brighton for nigh on 70 years.
But the cinema, also known over the years as the Savoy and the Cannon, had to close because it was crumbling to bits.
It could have met the fate of so many other art deco buildings which need millions of pounds spent on them.
But luckily, developers decided it was worth spending the money to transform the old cinema into a mixture of bars, restaurants and a cinema.
It has taken a long time to go through the planning process and then undertake the renovation work.
But once the task is completed, the restored building should give as much pleasure to as many people as the old cinema did in the past.
