Four police officers who ended a siege without anyone getting injured have been honoured.
PCs Ivan Randall, Todd Stewart, Darren Buck and Mark Rosser received divisional congratulations for their efforts in bringing the situation to a peaceful close.
They responded to reports of a man holding another hostage at knifepoint in Hastings last July.
The officers spent more than two hours talking to the man, who appeared to have been drinking.
They were among more than 20 PCs and sergeants who were praised at a presentation ceremony at Hastings police station.
