On behalf of the Brighton and Hove Amnesty International group, I would like to thank local residents and visitors to the city for their contributions to our annual street collection.
The sum of £415 was collected in Brighton on Saturday, October 6, £345.15 was collected in Hove on Saturday, October 13, and an additional £600 was received in cheque donations. This fantastic total of £1,360.15 will be vital in helping Amnesty International's work against human rights violations taking place worldwide.
Thank you to all those people who stopped to donate money and to lend their support to the work of this organisation. Thanks also to the volunteers who helped with the collection. For further information about the Brighton and Hove Amnesty International group, please contact me on 01273 814366.
