Hastings boss George Wakeling has revealed that Terry White could be disappointed if he expects to a quick return to The Pilot Field.
This following his brief stint as St Leonards boss.
White quit on Wednesday after only one match in charge saying his heart was not in it and that he missed Hastings.
But Wakeling said: "I've just given Jack Dalton Terry's old job and it's hardly fair to alter that now Terry has changed his mind."
Wakeling has doubts over flu victims Paul Ruddy and Duncan McArthur ahead of their home game against Rothwell Town in the Dr Martens eastern division.
Stuart Playford is doubtful with a hamstring injury but new French striker Zahanh Oni Langry is in the squad.
Midfielder Liam Barham and striker Keith Miles have both left Eastbourne Borough for new clubs.
Barham has rejoined St Leonards where he was player-coach while Keith Miles has signed for Country League division two promotion chasers Rye and Iden United despite interest from reigning division one champions Sidley United.
Barham was part of Garry Wilson's successful Langney Sports side which won promotion to the Dr Martens League.
Wilson said: "Liam has been on the bench for some time now and he wants to play regularly which is fair."
