A widow today paid an emotional tribute to her husband whose body was found at the foot of cliffs.
Pregnant Clair Bennett, 35, described husband Colin, 36, as "a wonderful man" who doted on her and their five-year-old son.
She said they were a solid family unit who were all looking forward to the birth of their second child, due in February.
Postman Mr Bennett worked for the Royal Mail for 16 years. His body was found at the base of Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, on Tuesday.
Mrs Bennett, of Easbourne, said she was at a loss as to why he died.
She said: "I started blaming myself but now I'm getting stronger."
The couple, both born in Eastbourne, knew each other as pupils at the former Hampden Park School in Broderick Road, Hampden Park.
Three years after leaving school they started dating and married four years later in 1991.
Mrs Bennett said: "He was a wonderful person. Everyone who knew him said that. There was nothing bad you could say about him.
"Without wanting to blow my own trumpet, we were brilliant together and people who came round to our house saw that."
She is now being supported by family, friends and her son, described by Mrs Bennett as a source of comfort to her.
She said: "My doctor told me not to hide it from him so I haven't.
Post Office colleagues of Mr Bennett paid their respects during a one-minute silence and are now organising a collection for the family.
