A driver aged 90 escaped with minor injuries after his automatic car left a trail of destruction in its wake.
The pensioner's Toyota Yaris went out of control in Upper Belgrave Road, Seaford.
The car first hit a parked Vauxhall Cavalier.
The Cavalier was shunted into a VW Golf, which went into a lamp post.
The Yaris then mounted the pavement, careered across a front garden and hit a van and a car parked in a driveway.
The pensioner was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital where he was treated for minor leg and facial wounds.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Polegate traffic division on 0845 6070999.
