Same old chestnut, I know, but last week in Calais the price of diesel was equivalent to 45p, as against 75p per litre here.
This 35p is a huge difference. When this recession bites and our industry grinds to a halt, do you think our smug Chancellor will take any blame? I doubt it. The trouble is, Labour career politicians never take responsibility for their cock-ups but are always happy to blame someone else.
