Some six months ago, a bus stop in Station Road, Portslade, was moved approximately 20 yards north of where it had been for more than 30 years.
However, the bus shelter is still waiting to be moved, so people have to shelter in shop doorways or sprint 20 yards when the bus arrives.
Many of the people who use this stop are elderly - enough said.
Brighton and Hove City Council, though, has spent unnecessary money and effort erecting at least ten or 12 tubular stands to which bicycles can be locked.
I have seen one of these in use - once.
