Why is it that animal rights supporters, vegans and vegetarians should be criticised for their part in trying to end the misery bestowed upon animals by man?
One million farm animals are slaughtered in the UK each day, many fully conscious and thousands in full-term pregnancy, and hundreds of cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and mice are needlessly sacrificed in laboratories every day in the name of medical advances.
Although these companies claim their work is essential to human health, thousands of humans suffer adverse drug reactions caused by such unreliable animal testing.
The truth is, many tests carried out by such medical research companies on animals are for pesticides, petrol and cosmetics.
Even dogs and cats are killed by some pet-food producers desperate to sell their product claiming an increased longevity in our pets.
Finally, in such sports as foxhunting, participating individuals actually come out into the open and admit to their passion for killing.
Don't mock the animal rights people for trying to stop animal abuse. They are the selfless, passionate, caring individuals without whom the voiceless animals would simply have no hope.
