MONDAY: Chesterfield boss Nicky Law claims he was not to blame for the trouble during and after Friday's 2-2 draw at Withdean.
Law says: "I never incited the crowd. It was their substitute (Paul Rogers) who got sent off that was more of an incitement than me stood on the side encouraging my team.
"I don't know why Peter Taylor is saying I'm a disgrace. At the end of the game I went to shake his hand, he refused, swore and walked off.
"The problems were because the ground safety is not what it should be. You can't have 2-3,000 fans in temporary seating with no barriers stopping them getting on to the pitch."
TUESDAY: The players relax at home with their families after Taylor gives them Christmas Day off.
"I have trained on Christmas Day before and gone away on Christmas night a lot as a player and manager, but I don't really agree with it," explains Taylor.
"Players like to be with their families. They know what to eat and drink and I trust them."
WEDNESDAY: Albion stretch their unbeaten League run under Taylor to ten games in a goalless draw at QPR.
Teenage striker Daniel Webb and goalkeeper Simon Royce, on loan from Leicester to cover for the injured Michel Kuipers, make encouraging debuts.
Bobby Zamora and Rangers' Andy Thomson, the hottest shots in the Second Division, are kept quiet by two resolute defences. The result lifts the Seagulls to third and joint top on points after leaders Brentford lose 2-1 at lowly Cambridge United and second-placed Stoke draw 2-2 at Tranmere.
THURSDAY: A satisfied Taylor declares: "It was a good performance, very hard-working, which you have to be against QPR. It is one of the biggest tests in this division away from home.
"We were very solid. There weren't many chances and both keepers didn't have a lot to do."
Royce says: "I'm very pleased. It was a bit of a battle. I thought we had the best of the first half, then it was a bit backs to the wall in the second half but the lads ground out a result and it's nice to start with a clean one."
FRIDAY: Paul Rogers' hopes of an extended run in the starting line-up are hit by a two-match ban.
The veteran midfielder is suspended for the FA Cup tie at home to Preston on January 5 and the visit to his old club Wigan a week later following his red card for two bookable offences as a substitute against Chesterfield.
The punishment is doubled due to Rogers' dismissal in similar circumstances at Cambridge on the opening day.
