Police are trying to trace a nurse who stopped to help a woman pedestrian who was hit by a car.
The nurse gave first aid to the 31-year-old woman after she was involved in a collision with a car in Mount Pleasant Road, Hastings, on Boxing Day.
Police said she told witnesses she was a nurse and had been walking along the road with her daughter. She left before police could take her details.
The victim, whose name has not been released by police, is from the Hastings area.
The incident took place at 4.40pm when a Peugeot 306 travelling east collided with the woman. The 45-year-old driver of the Peugeot was not injured.
The victim was taken to the Conquest Hospital and later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital, Haywards Heath. She was believed to have serious head injuries. Call police on 0845 6070999.
