Another mobile phone mast has been put up in a residential area despite fears of people who live there.
Last month, residents of Bath Court on Hove seafront were complaining about a mast at the back of their flats.
Now residents of Westdene are worried about a mast at Redhill Drive near their homes and a school.
In the Westdene case, Brighton and Hove City Council was a bit slow in notifying Orange that it did not like the site.
But it wouldn't have made much difference if the council had been in time. Small masts not in sensitive areas do not normally need permission.
What the Government should do is to allow planning authorities more control over the siting and appearance of masts.
Until then, they will keep appearing all over the place with the hapless councils being blamed for them.
