Developers plans to open a children's nursery on a controversial site have been recommended for refusal for a second time.
Haywards Heath Town Council's planning committee discussed the resubmitted scheme to convert a house in Heath Road, Haywards Heath, and add an extension to create a 76-place children's nursery for a second time last night.
An application last summer for a 100-place nursery was turned down by district council planners who branded it a "subterranean Teletubby development".
This scheme included plans to build a day-care centre at the back of the large Victorian house along with an extension on the main house, the roof of which would be grassed over and have windows on the side.
The final decision will now be made by a planning committee at Mid Sussex District Council. No date has been set.
