Police were today hunting three youths seen fleeing from a stolen car which crashed into a taxi on an Eastbourne zebra crossing.
A Vauxhall Astra was stolen from the car park at the District General Hospital in Kings Drive on Saturday morning.
At 2.10pm it crashed into a taxi on the zebra crossing in Ashford Road, Eastbourne, before three youngsters - two boys and a girl - fled.
No one was injured but police today said a member of the public was thought to have given the taxi driver the name of a possible offender.
Police want to trace the person, along with any other witnesses.
The two boys are described as being white, aged 16 and about 5ft 10in tall.
One had short auburn hair wearing a dark sports jacket.
The girl is described as 17, 5ft 7in tall, with short brown hair, and wore a white jumper and dark jeans.

A Hastings woman has died after she was involved in a road accident on Boxing Day.
Pedestrian Monica Anne Donnelly, 32, of Linley Drive, Hastings, was in collision with a Peugeot car in Mount Pleasant Road.
