Is Gemma Thwaite (Letters, December 31) a man using a pen-name? Surely she is not a woman. Preaching "tolerance of each other's exploits" within marriage and saying of affairs "there is no harm so long as they are not set up as a breach of trust, whatever that is" smacks of caddism.
It reminds me of the famous comment by Prince Charles when asked if he and Diana were in love - on love, he said "whatever that is". I suspect by now he jolly well knows. I hope Gemma one day finds out too and is not, in truth, yet another cad with his brains between his legs.
You cannot predict or plan for feelings and attachment and that, Gemma, is why no relationship or dalliance can ever be "set up" (how cold that is) to avoid "breach of trust".
Being in more than one relationship at a time is cynically asking for someone to be hurt, wounded or even devastated. Grow up, Gemma, or use prostitutes for your fun.
