Bus services in Seaford and Newhaven have been taken over by a new operator.
RDH Services of Plumpton has taken over routes from Connex.
No changes in the timetable are planned for the services but a fixed rate of 70p for a single and £1 for a return ticket now apply.
Business development manager John Kateley said: "There were fares from 60p to 80p so we rounded them to a 70p flat fare, following in the footsteps of Brighton and Hove."
Tom Hawthorne, the owner of RDH, said: "We welcome the opportunity to operate the local bus routes 26, 120 and 145 and hopefully we can bring a style of bus service to the area which it demands."
The company stepped in to pick up the pieces after Connex pulled out of the services last year.
