Now Ken Jones has been welcomed to the post of Chief Constable of Sussex, it is to be hoped he will recognise the excellent results of the close policing of Hove blackspots, as recently reported in The Argus.
Zero-tolerance policing has shown markedly good results abroad and where practised in this country, despite almost complete opposition from chief constables.
Perhaps Mr Jones would respond through these columns to say whether he will follow this policy or, if not, the exact reasons why, bearing in mind it appears to have majority public support.
