Having been a patient in Worthing Hospital (Chantry ward) during Christmas, I must put on record my experience.
On the evening of Christmas Eve, we were entertained by a wonderful group of carollers who came round the wards.
On Christmas morning, we had a great, traditional egg-and-bacon breakfast.
Later on, an enormous sleigh rolled into the ward, complete with Father Christmas.
Two young helpers gave out piles of presents, one for every patient, courtesy of Worthing Hospital League of Friends.
Then came dinner, a beautifully cooked turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas pud to follow.
I must mention Joyce, the ward cleaner and general factotum, who kept the ward spotless and looked after our needs.
The nursing staff excelled themselves looking after our medical needs. So a great big thank you to all and God bless.
