What a shame Brighton and Hove City Council has decided not to put on any Jubilee celebrations for the Queen.
It spent thousands of pounds trying to persuade her to grant city status so surely, as a mark of gratitude, the least it could do would be to hang up a few Union flags?
The council failed to put up any decent Christmas lights, failed to support the Burning Of The Clocks parade, failed to put on any New Year celebrations and cannot even replace dead light-bulbs on the seafront.
What chance has Brighton and Hove of becoming the European City of Culture if the council cannot even be bothered to celebrate the Jubilee of our head of state and head of our culture?
