I have visited the Polar Central bar and found it to cater for all age groups.
However, during the evenings I would not be surprised if it tends to refuse entry to those of a certain age considering it classes itself as a pre-club bar.
I went on New Year's Eve with a mixed group of friends of varying ages. It was an excellent night enjoyed by all.
I was treated well and with respect by all of the staff, including the doormen. They all seemed incredibly efficient and kept patient and friendly at all times.
Why don't people realise there is more to life than banging on about the fact that a bar chose to turn someone away for being too old, even if that were true?
I, too, have been turned away from bars and pubs but, instead of trying to deter people from going there, I just went somewhere else.
Who knows why John Deverell was turned away and, to be honest, who cares? Just get on with life somewhere else.
