An investigation has been launched after a hospital ran out of oil used for heating and hot water.
Hot water supplies ran low at Southlands Hospital, in Shoreham, because of the shortage but the heating was not affected.
The heating system was switched from the oil system to the hospital's back-up gas boiler when the shortage was discovered on Friday morning.
Extra oil supplies were delivered to the hospital later that day.
Patients were not affected by the shortage.
Hospital staff said the shortage was caused by a recent change of supplier and confusion about deliveries.
