A tussle over which football team a couple's new-born baby should support has ended all square.
In June, The Argus reported how parents-to-be Julie Reeve and Richard Greaves were arguing over the future allegiance of their coming addition to the family.
Diehard Albion fan Julie was horrified Richard wanted their offspring to follow Rotherham United. He even hoped to name it Miller - after the team's nickname.
Julie, who comes from Portslade but now lives with Richard in Hertfordshire, threatened to name the child after every member of the Seagulls' promotion-winning squad of last season.
Three weeks ago, their baby boy came into the world and the couple settled on the neutral name of Benjamin.
However, the baby has already been enlisted as a fan for Brighton and Rotherham.
Richard, a town planner, said: "The day after he was born, my dad turned up with his first Rotherham kit. But Julie's dad came back in retaliation with Seagulls Babygros."
The arguments started when the couple, who both work for Hertfordshire County Council, were browsing through a book of baby names.
Richard noticed Miller was included as a boy's name. As Seagull was not in the book, he thought he had an argument for naming the baby after his team.
Julie disagreed as she wanted her youngster to follow in her footsteps and support the Albion.
They will now let Benjamin make up his own mind when he is old enough.
