A distraught woman was taken to hospital after police managed to prevent her jumping from a multi-storey car park for the second time in four days.
The woman, aged 20, was first talked down from the roof of the Bognor car park last week, after she rang her parents and told them she was going to take her life.
But on Sunday, she was spotted back on the edge of the 40ft car park roof, above Safeway supermarket in the town centre.
Police officers Jon Wooley and Laura Watts were again trying to talk the woman down when she moved her hand away from the railings.
Sergeant Anna Gent, the officer in charge, said: "They made the decision to grab her, believing that she was going to jump, and managed to pull her back over the railings and take her to safety.
"It is believed the woman's intentions were genuine and the swift action of the officers has potentially saved a life."
