A reward is being offered for information on an assault which left a father-of-six unconscious in hospital.
Police have offered £250 for information leading to the conviction of the attackers of Paul Titherington who was punched and kicked in the George Hotel, George Street, Hailsham, on New Year's Eve.
A 21-year-old man from Langney, Eastbourne, was arrested on Friday in connection with the assault but was later released on bail.
Detective Constable Martyn Milligan, of the East Downs Investigation Team, said: "We have come up against a wall of silence when it comes to bringing witnesses forward."
Two men believed to have carried out the attack ran off after Mr Titherington, 25, of Bayham Road, Hailsham, was discovered by a friend.
They are described as being in their late teens or early twenties and wearing padded jackets and baseball caps.
Police believe they were in the pub between 9.30pm and 9.45pm with two other men and two women.
Mr Titherington was yesterday described as stable and making progress at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
