A woman was escorted away by the police after she knocked at the Jehovah's Witnesses' door and refused to go away.
Jane White said she was giving the religious sect's members a taste of their own medicine after years of answering her door to them.
She marched to the Kingdom Hall in Peacehaven, knocked on the door unannounced and refused to leave.
Ms White, 35, of Downland Avenue, Peacehaven, was still knocking when the police arrived to escort her from the premises 20 minutes later.
She said: "When they are criticised, they say people can always ignore them. So I thought I'd see if they could ignore me.
"I waited for their Sunday service to start and then knocked repeatedly on the door.
"When they answered, I chatted about Nirvana.
"I think they quite rightly thought I was disturbing their peace.
"The next time they came out I produced a pile of Friday Ads to see if they would like a copy but I don't think they were interested.
"I asked them how I could stop the constant knocks on my door and they said they left a few weeks between visits.
"They said I could request no more visits and told me there was a number to ring - but I have never heard of it. They told me I had a bad attitude."
Ms White added: "I support their right to go door-to-door but it disturbs my privacy."
Horace Lesley Warnett, a member of the congregation at Newhaven Kingdom Hall, Coast Road, Peacehaven, said: "People only have to say they do not want us to call and we won't go back. This lady was being a bit of a nuisance."
The police confirmed Ms White immediately left the premises after they arrived.
