When travelling across Sussex, particularly late at night, I frequently witness fast-food meal packaging and left-overs hurled from moving vehicles on to the road.
Please can those responsible be aware that nocturnal animals such as foxes and badgers are lured on to the roads to scavenge for left-overs and are all too frequently killed or seriously injured by cars as a consequence.
During the day, birds fall victim too.
So to save wildlife and to prevent other vehicles having to swerve to avoid hitting these scavengers, thus risking human lives, the answer is so simple: Take your rubbish home and put it safely in the bin.
