Heather Olver led England to the Home International Under-17s badminton title in Scotland.
She played at No.1 and won two out of three singles against Wales and Ireland.
The 15-year-old, from Heathfield, also won doubles gold and singles bronze medals in the individual events.
Heather, 15, from Heathfield, said: "I wasn't feeling 100 per cent up until a few days before the tournament because of a virus. But thankfully the problem cleared up in time and I was delighted to be able to represent England.
"I played for my country in the under-15 event two years ago and we won it . I knew it would give me a special buzz again.
"It was tough because we were a year young and Scotland had a very strong team."
Her only defeat in the team competition was against Scotland's Michelle Douglas.
In the individual singles event she was edged out in the semi-finals by Helen Ward, of Yorkshire, 11-8 13-12.
Heather took revenge to win the doubles when she teamed up with Irish girl Laura Thompson to beat Jenny Bilton (Surrey) and Jenny Walwork (Yorkshire) 15-10 15-8 in the final.
She arrived at Grangemouth, near Edinburgh, in style.
Her father Alastair said: "Heather was able to fly to Scotland from Stansted. It didn't cost us anything because the lottery grant covered any expenses. Being in the world class potential squad has got some advantages."
Heather, who is taking GCSEs this year, will break off from studies to compete in the National Under-17s Championships next month.
The Sussex restricted ladies champion, coached by Karen Chapman at Littlehampton, said: "It will be the first time I've taken part and it will be tough because of that. But I'm getting stronger and fitter."
Heather was runner-up in the singles and semi-finalist in the doubles at under-13s and claimed the national doubles crown at under-15s as well as finishing runners-up in the mixed.
EAST beat West Sussex 18-13 in the annual under-11s challenge match at Portslade.
