How correct was Vince Powell in his article on comedy on TV these days. I agree 100 per cent with everything he wrote.
Comedy is absolute tripe and my whole family cannot bring ourselves to give even a wry smile at today's offerings.
Bring back the good old rib-ticklers of days of yore although I suppose, in these politically correct days, humour is not allowed for fear of offending one race, creed or religion or other.
US comedy is about as funny as a bad attack of gout.
The rest of the programmes consist of back-slapping award shows, banal game shows and soaps full of families shouting at each other.
We have had enough of dismal TV. Bring back the veteran writers and let us lighten up our family viewing.
Even watching the repeats of the old comedy shows is preferable to today's output.
