Plans to turn a former convent in Bexhill into flats have been postponed.
Members of Rother District Council's planning committee met yesterday to discuss the application to turn Nazareth House in Bexhill into 93 flats.
They decided the decision should be postponed for further research into how the scheme would affect traffic movement in the area.
The proposal had received more than 80 letters objecting to the plans from Bexhill residents.
Concerns over potential traffic problems had been raised by the Highways Authority.
The application will be examined again at the next planning meeting in February.
