There are still questions to be answered about the death six months ago of kitchen porter Stephane Aineto.
He was killed in East Street, Brighton, after being run over by a truck run by Sita which, at that time, was operating refuse services in the city.
Police concluded his death was an accident but his parents in France believe the chaos in the refuse collection service at the time may have been a contributory factor.
Certainly, there were problems at the time between Sita and employees, with widespread complaints from the public and the city council about the service.
Mr Aineto's parents are calling for a public inquiry but there has already been a full police investigation. However, it is exactly the sort of matter that could be considered quickly and fairly by one of the city council's scrutiny boards to see if there is any truth in the parents' belief.
