A man needed 16 stitches to his face after an attack at a party in East Grinstead.
The 20-year-old victim was injured during an assault at Cuestars snooker club in the Atrium Centre, King Street.
The youth, who is believed to live locally, suffered severe facial cuts which needed hospital treatment.
Police arrested a woman in connection with the attack. She was later bailed pending further investigation.
PC Rees Hopcraft appealed for witnesses.
