Brighton and Hove Albion will be under orders to take full advantage of their weekend bonus when Tranmere visit tonight.
The Seagulls held on to second spot in the Second Division as their rivals all slipped up on Saturday.
Now they can extend their lead to four points over the chasing pack given victory over Dave Watson's in-form Rovers and similar co-operation from elsewhere.
Albion boss Peter Taylor watched the club's youth side in action rather than checking on any of the first team's rivals but admitted: "It was nice looking at the results on Teletext on Saturday.
"Results went for us but now it is very important we take advantage of that.
"There's no point us slipping up now. We've got a very big game against Tranmere.
"They are a very capable team who really should be higher for the players that they have got but we have got to keep our good home form going."
Gary Hart, Paul Watson and Simon Morgan are back in contention for places after one match bans but Taylor will keep his line-up a closely guarded secret until shortly before kick-off.
He said: "I went to bed last night knowing what the side would be.
"I haven't named anything and I chopped and changed people around at training yesterday so they don't know what is happening.
"No one will know what the team is until half past six tonight."
Rovers have put together a 12-match unbeaten run but their hopes of making a move on the play-off places were frustrated on Saturday as they drew 0-0 at home to Chesterfield.
That slip-up will not fool the Albion boss.
He said: "I've seen them play at Southend and we had them watched on Saturday.
"That was not the best day for them but we know what they can do and now they have got to see the best of us tonight."
Albion are confident the match will go ahead, despite yesterday's heavy rain, and have no pitch inspection planned.
The Seagulls visit Oldham on Saturday, then have a re-scheduled home clash with Reading at Withdean next Monday.
