Using a format designed to supplement National Curriculum teaching, Brain Buster Quiz has more than 1,500 questions designed to amuse, entertain and educate.
The layout is easy to navigate and every screen is well designed and full of visual features.
The quiz covers all the usual subject areas for seven to 11-year-olds, including geography, words, numbers and history.
The sections are given amusing names like Globe Trotting and Swords and Sandals but I found this could be a bit confusing.
To start the quiz, select one or two players and the level you want.
The easy questions are really simple and most seven-year-olds will fly through them.
Medium questions are a little trickier and the hard questions are absolute snorters.
Fortunately, the software gives you the answer when you get the question wrong.
The quiz has a top score feature called Seemore's hall of fame. Players achieving a personal best can record their score before moving on to a new set of questions.
Concerned parents can have a look at this list of achievements to see how high a child is scoring and offer encouragement as required.
Great graphics and a high level of functionality at an affordable price.
