Lewes MP Norman Baker has lived up to his Stormin' Norman nickname by being named Opposition MP of the Year.
Mr Baker's constant quizzing of ministers has made him the first Lib Dem to win the Channel 4 award.
He asked 262 written questions in the Parliamentary session that ended last summer, among them the one that led to the resignation of Peter Mandelson.
Mr Baker said: "This award is voted for by MPs so to win it is fantastic.
"With the Government having such a large majority, it is vital there are active opposition MPs to hold ministers to account."
Mr Baker also won a Green Ribbon Award for best newcomer shortly after being elected in 1997.
He is number two in the Lib Dems' home affairs team.
