Pizza seller Mehran Yousefi has launched a loyalty card to say thanks to the hospital which nursed his baby son.
Rather than a simple card or bunch of flowers, Mr Yousefi is showing his gratitude by donating half the £10 cost of the card, which is available to the public, to the baby care unit and Friston children's ward at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
Mr Yousefi, 37, and his wife Zoe, feared for son Kamran when he was born ten weeks premature at Pembury Hospital in Kent weighing just 3lb 4oz.
Shortly after being released, Kamran fell ill and was rushed to the hospital where he stopped breathing.
He was transferred to Guy's Hospital in London but came back to the baby care unit at Eastbourne to recover.
Now Kamran is being doted on by his parents and 18-month-old sister Yasmin at home in Eastbourne.
Mr Yousefi, owner of Pizza Stop in Old Town, Eastbourne, said: "The doctors and nurses at Eastbourne, Pembury and Guy's were fantastic.
"When Kamran fell ill we were extremely worried but with the help of staff he pulled through and is fine."
The loyalty card entitles holders to special offers at the pizzeria.
