Lewes could hand a surprise home debut to Artur Correia in tomorrow's FA Vase clash with Tow Law Town.
Jimmy Quinn's side has been stripped to the bare bones with up to ten regulars either cup-tied, injured, ill or unavailable.
Correia, a 22-year-old midfielder who is half Angolan, half Brazilian, made his debut for the Rooks in the win at Tilbury last Saturday.
He has a background in professional football having been a youth team player at Wimbledon, where he still trains. He also had a spell with Charlton Athletic and spent last season in Scotland with Morton.
The Rooks' are certainly without the injured Paul Stokes, Stuart Hack, Peter Brackley and Ross Venables while Julian Curnow, Graham Mackay, Germain Amanuel and Mike Eubanks are all cup-tied.
Chris Dicker is ruled out by flu while Matt Beeston is unavailable.
Quinn has named an initial 12-man squad which he will supplement with reserve team players.
Quinn said: "I have said all along we don't have a big enough squad to win a tournament of this size. We will be looking for big players to put in big performances."
Tow Law, of the Albany Northern League, are travelling to the game in Newcastle United's luxury team coach..
Tow Law's leading scorer, 18-year-old Brian Wake, left the club five weeks ago to sign for Carlisle.

Tow Law from: Poskett, Young, Jones, Hall, Vasey, Walker, Eccles, Richardson, Wilkinson, Bellamy, Sinclair, Maughan, Nicholson, Innes, Pickering.
