A suspect in a double murder inquiry has been rearrested.
The 23-year-old welder from St Leonards was brought in for questioning at Hastings police station by detectives late yesterday for the second time within a month.
He was among three men arrested last month in connection with the suspected death of Jason Martin-Smith, 28, who police have been tipped off was killed last summer in Hastings.
The man was later released on police bail while further evidence was sought.
Although no body has been found, murder squad detectives believe Mr Martin-Smith's disappearance may be linked to the drive-by shooting of Jimmy Millen while he worked on his red Ford Fiesta in Tile Barn Road, Hastings, last October.
Detectives working on Operation Darnel have been thwarted in their investigation by a climate of fear in the Hollington area, where Mr Millen was well known.
A £10,000 reward was increased to £25,000 for information leading to the conviction of Mr Millen's killers, who police believe are local to Hastings and St Leonards.
Anyone with information is asked to call Operation Darnel on 0845 6070999.
