Lewes boss Jimmy Quinn blasted Sussex football's money men after seeing his side claim a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Carlsberg Vase.
The county will have two sides in the last eight after The Rooks' eye-catching 4-1 victory over Tow Law Town was matched by an equally impressive 4-0 success for Burgess Hill against Porthleven.
It is the first time two sides from the Sussex have reached the quarter-finals in the same year and the first time any Sussex side has reached this stage for six years.
Quinn said: "It is great for Sussex football. It is definitely a poor area for football and there are many reasons for that. People involved in it have created the problem because money is more important than anything else.
"There are players just now who are playing for poor teams, young players earning big money. We couldn't possibly sign them to bring them here to progress their careers because they get too much money where they are."
Meanwhile, Burgess Hill manager Gary Croydon and striker Ashley Carr agreed about Hillians' hopes for the quarter-final draw - anyone at home, except Lewes!
Croydon said: "The most crucial thing is to get a home draw. I would love to meet Lewes in the semi-final because then we would have a Sussex team in the final at long last."
Carr said: "I would prefer not to play Lewes yet. It would be nice to play them in the final, but the number one thing is to get a home draw. Everyone was up for it and no one had a bad game."
