This software package is, of course, based on the bestselling book by Professor Stephen W. Hawking.
A Brief History of Time for the PC explores the nature of time and the origins of the universe in a way that is both easy to understand and attractive to look at.
Professor Hawking believes everyone should be able to understand the concept of time and space.
People who are unaware of the basic principles of astro-physics will find this title very interesting.
Especially if they plan to do a degree in cosmology.
This is a fascinating piece of software but it will only appeal to a very limited audience.
Anyone with an inquiring kind should nip down to the local software store and grab a copy.
Those who really do not care what happens in outer space probably should not worry too much about what they are missing.
In general, I found the text to be rather long-winded and laborious, although some of the illustrations are amazing.
The video clips and the information on Black Holes is inspiring.
Professor Hawking is extremely controversial in some of his ideas but perhaps that is what makes his work fascinating.
You will be glad you took the time and trouble to look at this software. It has some fascinating sections and overall represents excellent value for money. Where else can you learn about physics and cosmology for less than £10?
