A woman was rescued by neighbours after her Crawley home caught fire last night.
The fire broke out in the lounge of the semi-detached property in Langley Drive, Langley Green, shortly before 10pm.
Three fire crews from Crawley were sent to the blaze after it was reported a woman was trapped.
When crews arrived the woman had already escaped with the help of neighbours. She was treated at the scene for the effects of smoke.
The lounge was wrecked and the rest of the house damaged by thick smoke.
The fire is believed to have been started by a match being thrown into a bin.
