A new bar and club is to open in place of two closed-down Brighton night spots.
A multi-million pound refurbishment is underway at the site of the former Paradox and Club Barcelona in West Street, Brighton, which shut in January.
The combined sites, both owned by First Leisure, are being transformed into a new venue called Creation, which is to open its doors in May.
Creation will operate as a bar during the day and a night club in the evenings, offering different types of music in each of its three rooms.
General manager Phil Leppard said: "It had been the Paradox for ten years and had been very successful.
"In fact it had just had its most successful year. But we decided now was the time for a change.
"Creation is a concept which has been developed by the company and this will be the fourth club. We have them in Leeds, Stoke and Leicester."
